Major Elements

Magnesium is an essential element that helps maintain calcium and carbonate concentrations in aquarium water!

It is used primarily by red calcareous algae and soft corals. When available in the correct concentration, coral calcification rates improve. We recommend maintaining Mg between 1300 – 1350 mg/L (at 35 salinity) and checking Mg content regularly by a water test.

Dosing Recommendations: 50ml per 100L (26 US gal) will increase magnesium content by approx. 100mg/L.
Maximum daily dose: Do not increase Mg by more than 100ml/100 L per day.
