The Blade LED strip light is not your average lighting solution! It goes beyond expectations by maximizing color clarity and efficiency. By incorporating exclusive EdgeFieldTM Optics, it achieves uniform PAR output, seamless color blending, a generous 95-degree spread, and a mesmerizing natural shimmer effect in your aquarium. Thanks to its wide angle and modular cluster LEDs, the Blade ensures light wraps around elevated areas in your tank, offering a smooth and evenly distributed illumination while minimizing shadows. Combining 3 or more Blade strips eliminates shadows and evenly distributes light, akin to traditional T5 fixtures but with improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You can also pair the Blade with existing light fixtures to supplement or fill in lighting, enhancing coverage and reducing hotspots.

Available Color Spectrums:

Coral Grow

The Coral Glow model is specifically designed with a mixture of LEDs that enhance the blue and UV spectrums, highlighting coral fluorescence. It serves as an additional light source to complement the Blade Grow or enhance your existing lighting system, giving your aquarium a vibrant appearance. For optimal performance, a ratio of 1 part Glow to 2 parts Grow is recommended, although using one of each is suitable for lower light requirements.

Each AI Blade LED Strip consists of approximately one grouping of light clusters per foot of the fixture’s length. The close arrangement and strategic placement of diodes contribute to the balanced shimmer and performance of the Blade series. In the Blade Coral Glow, each cluster group contains 24 diodes.

Want to know about Fauna Marin’s Elementals Series?

The Elementals series is designed for use with regular ICP analysis. The Fauna Marin ICP analysis helps you to keep your aquarium perfectly supplied.

In addition to the measured valuesFauna Marin ICP analysis provides you with all necessary dosage recommendations including the salts of the macro elements calcium, magnesium and carbonate hardness, we also offer a number of  elements whose function is essential in saltwater aquaria.

In contrast to trace elements such as iron, zinc or vanadium, macroelements are present in seawater in concentrations of more than 1 mg/l. These include, for example bromine, boron, potassium or strontium. The function of these elements can be very different. In the knowledge database on the Fauna Marin website you will find an overview of the respective function of the individual elements.

Macroelements can be contained in many different substances and can therefore also enter the aquarium water. However, despite their necessary concentration in the watertheir deficiency can cause considerable problems. An adequate supply of all important elements is therefore indispensable for a healthy reef aquarium.

Our single element solutions consist of purest raw materials, which are produced with the appropriate organic or inorganic compounds depending on the function of the elements. For production and quality control we use our coral farm and of course our own ICP laboratory.

Want to know about Fauna Marin’s Elementals Series?

The Elementals series is designed for use with regular ICP analysis. The Fauna Marin ICP analysis helps you to keep your aquarium perfectly supplied.

In addition to the measured values, Fauna Marin ICP analysis provides you with all necessary dosage recommendations including the salts of the macro elements calcium, magnesium and carbonate hardness, we also offer a number of elements whose function is essential in saltwater aquaria In contrast to trace elements such as iron, zinc or vanadium, macroelements are present in seawater in concentrations of more than 1 mg/l. These include, for example bromine, boron, potassium or strontium. The function of these elements can be very different. In the knowledge database on the Fauna Marin website you will find an overview of the respective function of the individual elements.

Macroelements can be contained in many different substances and can therefore also enter the aquarium water. However, despite their necessary concentration in the water their deficiency can cause considerable problems.

Fauna Marin Live Phyto (ABC kit of 3)

Product information “Phyto ABC”

Phyto A, B, C offers a unique blend of high-quality phytoplankton for marine aquariums.

Our product, with more than 30 different species, is designed to enhance longevity and health in marine aquariums.

PHYTO microplankton is rich in pigments, vitamins, Omega-3, and minerals.

The complete nutrition of corals is ensured only by the combination of PHYTO A, B, and C.

What is Phytoplankton?

Phytoplankton are microalgae. These are photosynthetic organisms that form the basis of the food webs of marine and freshwater environments and play a key role in the global carbon cycle. They serve as a fundamental food source for many marine inhabitants and provide essential nutrients that promote the well-being of fish and other aquatic organisms. They are rich in proteins, fatty acids, pigments, vitamins, and minerals necessary for the growth and development of marine life.

FAQ
Do I have to add all 3 Phyto variants at the same time? Can I use just one bottle?
We recommend adding all three products to achieve the best effect. The three phytoplankton mixtures are perfectly coordinated.

What happens if I add too much to my aquarium?
It might cause the water to become cloudy, but it is not harmful.

I have deposits in the bottle – is the plankton spoiled?
No, it is normal for the plankton to settle. After gently shaking the bottle, it can be dosed again.

Can I put all 3 bottles into one container and dose them together?
Since the plankton species are selected based on growth rates, we do not recommend mixing them together.

Can I add the Phytos with a dosing pump?
The plankton must be gently shaken before use, so it is not recommended for dosing with a standard dosing pump.

  • Testing the validity of new test kits
  • Verifying results after unexpected test results
  • Testing kits that were stored for a long time
  • Checking an expired test kit’s accuracy
  • Calibrating your refractometer

Example: Measurement of the reference solution with a magnesium test gives you a result of 1,000 mg/L.

  • The reference solution however contains 1,314 mg/L
  • The ratio therefore is: 1,314 mg/L : 1,000 mg/L

Length: 6ft

Radion XR15 G6 Blue LED Light Fixture

The Best-In-Class Just Keeps Getting Better!

The newest generation of EcoTech Radion continues to lead the way in the industry with mind-blowing improvements in light output and color. With a new LED cluster, Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) optical system, and diodes pushing deeper into the UV spectrum; the G6 Radions are bound to become your new favorite LED reef light.

Why does BRS recommend the EcoTech Marine Radion?

Quite simply, EcoTech Marine Radions are the LED’s we most often choose to light our own tanks. With the chance to use just about any light we want, there are probably more Radions in use around BRS than any other LED fixture. Through years of experience, we’ve seen the proven results in our growing, thriving reefs.

From Aquaculture to the home aquarium, there is a high likelihood that the coral you know and love has been grown or “colored-up” under a generation of Radions.

Features and Improvements to the Radion G6

Radions are the standard in aquarium lighting for a reason. Each generation has built upon the successful results of the last, incorporating the latest in design and technology to bring us a state-of-the-art light that blends proven results with greater ease of use. Ecotech Marine has spent significant time and effort in developing and testing lighting programs, such as the popular SPS AB+, that deliver maximum results from their fixtures and bring out the best in our corals. The Radion G6 incorporates a new Hemispherically Edge Illuminating optic system with redesigned LED placement to deliver beautiful shimmer, superior color mixing, even PAR, incredible spread, and even adjustable hues!

New HEI2 Optic System
Super-Wide 126.3 Degree Spread
395nm Diodes for Ultimate Fluorescence
Rebalanced Color Channels and LED Mix
Even PAR & High Output
Moonlight & Weather Simulation
Proven CoralLab AB+ Spectrum
Fully Programmable
Wireless Mobius App control

Mind-Blowing Spread with HEI2 Optical System

The Radion G6 achieves its mind-blowing 126.3 degree spread through a new and improved optical system. EcoTech implemented a change to the primary lens on the LEDs, which then integrates with the geometry of the existing HEI (Hemispherically Edge Illuminating) secondary lens to increase the output from an already impressive 110.5 to an outstanding 126.3 degrees! The super-wide spread has an added benefit of increasing output by reflecting off the aquarium side glass walls and reflecting light back into the tank, thus reducing shadows and providing light to the undersides of corals. This means that you can now light your tanks with even less fixtures! The G6 has the highest average output out of all Radions and can provide even PAR across almost four feet of coverage area with its XR30 model, making it perhaps the most efficient aquarium light made to date.

Blue vs. Pro

The Radion G6 BLUE has gotten even bluer! Adjustments to the diode mix and the addition of 395nm offer new depths of color intensity and increased fluorescence. With the G6, you now have the ability to tune the Blue between actinic and crisp to find the perfect aesthetics for your tank.

The Radion G6 PRO is what you see as the lighting of choice in many public aquariums, aquaculture facilities, and coral spawning laboratories worldwide. It features a balanced LED mix with proven spectrums similar to the output of Metal Halide lighting.

Compact & Sleek, High-Quality Design

EcoTech Marine aims to produce the most minimally intrusive reef aquarium equipment available. The G6 continues to showcase Radion’s sleek styling, small footprint, and quiet fan with revolutionary heatsink. The Radion boasts a technologically superior design with premium quality components and unmatched customer support. Better yet, the Radion G6 is still backwards compatible with the extensive mounting options and accessories available to the previous generation of Radion, so you can still customize your lighting experience to fit your individual aquarium needs.

The newest generation of EcoTech Radion continues to lead the way in the industry with remarkable enhancements in light output and color. With a fresh LED cluster, Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) optical system, and diodes reaching deeper into the UV spectrum, the G6 Radions are set to become your go-to LED reef light.

Why does Frag Garage recommend the EcoTech Marine Radion?

Quite simply, EcoTech Marine Radions are the LED lights we frequently choose to illuminate our own tanks. With a wide range of options available, Radions are likely the most commonly used LED fixtures at Frag Garage. Through years of experience, we’ve witnessed the proven results in our flourishing reefs.

From aquaculture to home aquariums, there’s a high probability that the corals you adore have been cultivated or enhanced under a Radion light.

Features and Improvements to the Radion G6

Radions stand out in the aquarium lighting realm for a reason. Every iteration builds upon the successes of the last, integrating the latest in design and technology to offer a cutting-edge light that combines proven outcomes with enhanced user-friendliness. Ecotech Marine has dedicated substantial time and effort to develop and test lighting programs, such as the renowned SPS AB+, delivering optimal results from their fixtures and bringing out the best in our corals. The Radion G6 introduces a new Hemispherically Edge Illuminating optic system with revamped LED placement for stunning shimmer, superior color blending, uniform PAR, wide coverage, and adjustable hues!

New HEI2 Optic System
Super-Wide 126.3 Degree Spread
395nm Diodes for Maximum Fluorescence
Rebalanced Color Channels and LED Mix
Uniform PAR & High Output– Covering Almost 4ft
Moonlight & Weather Simulation
Proven CoralLab AB+ Spectrum
Fully Programmable
Wireless Mobius App Control

Mind-Blowing Spread with HEI2 Optical System

The Radion G6 achieves its remarkable 126.3-degree spread through an enhanced optical system. EcoTech made changes to the primary lens on the LEDs, integrating it with the geometry of the existing Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI) secondary lens to increase the output from an already impressive 110.5 to an exceptional 126.3 degrees! This wide spread reflects off the aquarium side glass walls to increase output, reducing shadows and providing light to the undersides of corals. The G6 delivers the highest average output among all Radions, ensuring even PAR across an extensive coverage area of almost four feet, making it possibly the most efficient aquarium light available to date.

Blue vs. Pro

The Radion G6 BLUE has intensified its blue spectrum even further! Adjustments to the diode mix and the addition of 395nm diodes offer enhanced color depth and heightened fluorescence. With the G6, you now have the flexibility to fine-tune the Blue spectrum from actinic to crisp, achieving the perfect aesthetics for your tank.

The Radion G6 PRO is the preferred lighting choice in various public aquariums, aquaculture facilities, and coral spawning labs worldwide. It features a well-balanced LED mix with proven spectrums akin to Metal Halide lighting output.

Compact & Sleek, High-Quality Design

EcoTech Marine aims to craft the most unobtrusive reef aquarium equipment on the market. The G6 continues the Radion line’s legacy of sleek styling, small footprint, and quiet fan with an innovative heatsink. The Radion showcases a technologically advanced design with top-quality components and unbeatable customer support. Moreover, the Radion G6 remains backward compatible with the prior Radion generation’s extensive mounting options and accessories, allowing you to tailor your lighting setup to suit your unique aquarium requirements.

Mobius Control

More colors translate to more channels, and with Mobius, programming and managing your G6 becomes even more convenient and rapid. Mobius enables nearly instant setup and programming. Local wireless control and programming are achievable using any current OS version iOS or Android smart device. Experience ultimate app-based control at your fingertips—no need to purchase a separate controller!

VorTech MP10mQD – Mobius Ready QuietDrive Propeller Pump

In a reef aquarium, having the perfect amount of flow and water movement is crucial to the health of your animals, as well as the overall success of the tank. With the addition of Ecotech Marine’s Mobius app compatibility, Vortech QuietDrive pumps have never been more versatile or easier to use. VorTech pumps are designed by aquarists to be the standard in wave-making technology.

Features

Mobius App Ready – No need for additional equipment to get wireless programming functionality. Connect directly to your iOS or Android device.
Create massive water movement – Adjustable flow rates with included controller allow you to dial in a setting that is tailored to your aquarium
No hot spots – With its broad flow pattern, the VorTech QuietDrive eliminates “flow hot spots”
Three-dimensional flow – A unique patented design is unrivaled in creating three-dimensional flow conditions and gyres
Comprehensive flow modes – 12 different flow modes allow you to choose the best setting for happy corals and fish
Ultra low-profile design – With its patented design, the VorTech QuietDrive is the least visually obtrusive pump on the market
Safe – No electrical components in the aquarium greatly reduces the risk of electrical shock to you or your animals.

Multiple Flow Modes

Lagoon Mode

Simulating a low-energy lagoon. The QuietDrive motor slowly changes, recreating the gentle currents of a lagoon environment.

Reef Crest Mode

Simulating currents found around high energy reefs. The pump changes speed frequently emulating crashing waves and tidal surges. This is a great mode for SPS corals.

Gyre mode

Uniform circular flow creates motions that help transports water from one side of the tank to the other. With two pumps paired in Gyre Mode, you can oscillate between a clockwise and counterclockwise gyre that lasts from 2 seconds to 2 hours.

Short Pulse Mode

Strong short pulses that can be set at intervals of 0.2 seconds up to 2 seconds. This mode can create a standing wave in your tank with the correct frequency.

Tidal Swell Mode

A harmonic balance of the ever changing conditions found in the ocean. TSM will vary from calm flow all the way up to chaotic high flow and it even has a pre-programmed detritus cleaning surge that will help suspend particles to be swept into the filtration system.

Nutrient Transport

Nutrient Transport Mode

NTM is programmed to create a two-phase circulation flow mode. Phase one consists of wave motions to help stir up and suspend detritus while the second phase incorporates surging motions to help push particles towards the overflow and down into the filter system. This is our favorite mode and is especially great for sensitive corals like LPS and SPS.

Function Modes

Feed Mode

Pause all of your wireless Ecotech Pumps at the push of a button. Pumps will turn down to an idle speed allowing you to feed your tank without the food being pushing into rocks or into the filtration system.

Night Mode

Simulate a calmer environment for night time hours. Night Mode can be enabled or disabled with custom hours programmed to automatically turn on and off.

Wave Auto Tune Mode

Create a standing wave in your aquarium to help sweep detritus and other foreign particles from the sandbed. It is amazing what will magically float out of the rocks when a standing wave is created. We highly suggest pairing two wireless pumps for this mode to get the full effect!

Mobius Programming

Access and program your Vortech pumps through your mobile device to access a myriad of features. A defining characteristic of EcoTech equipment is the versatility and power of control offered to the aquarium hobbyist. The Mobius app is packaging all this capability in a way that makes programming and control intuitive, quick, and painless.
